Is it aimed at kids? I honestly don’t know. It’s Mickey Mouse, so I guess there is always an element of appeal to kids when the Disney icon comes into play.
But at the same time, this is a Peter Blake bring featuring some of his most famous imagery as a backdrop to the famous mouse. So adults might like the idea of this on the wall too.
Whoever you buy it for, this is all about charity, with the bulk of the (admittedly hefty) asking price going to Comic Relief to help vulnerable children and young people in the UK and some of the world’s poorest communities.
There are 250 prints available, each one signed by Sir Peter Blake and as such, likely to become very collectable as the months and years pass. It’s a silkscreen print, with the artwork on Somerset Tub White 410gsm and mounted onto dye board, sized at 62 x 60cm. It’s unframed too, even if the image here shows it framed.
It seems to be selling quickly as you might expect, even with an asking price of £999.99. So don’t hang about if you want one.
If that’s a bit pricey, there is plenty of other cheaper Mickey Mouse merchandise for kids that also supports Red Nose Day.
