I’ll be honest and admit we have yet to see one of these close-up as yet. But we might be risking an investment on one of these music dolls by KatKiller.
Actually, rock star is probably underselling the range, as it also includes artists like Warhol and Keith Haring, fashion designs such as Alexander McQueen and Vivienne Westwood and even other other personalities such as Woody Allen and Twiggy.
But the music choices are our favourites. Yes, the obvious ones are here – Bowie, Beatles, Michael Jackson, Elvis and so on. But it’s the niche designs we love the most.
You can invest in Ian Curtis if Joy Division, Florian Schneider of Kraftwerk, Lux Interior of The Cramps, Robert Smith, Lemmy, Joan Jett, Iggy Pop and a couple of variations of Morrissey to name just a few. Check out the full list on the site if you like the idea of any of those, with a few of the characters pictured here.
From what we can make out, the dolls are produced in Brazil and sized around 50cm x 12cm, with the design printed onto a polyester fabric. Obviously they are aimed at adults, but if you want your child to have something just a little different to play with or to have on the shelf, they are worth a look and will be a talking point when other parents drop by.
Not sure about the price, due to issues with the translation of the currency. We would suggest you contact the maker for a price and the cost of postage from Brazil if you are interested.
