A book for adults as well as children, as well as a history book and an art book. That’s Where’s Warhol? by Catharine Ingram and Andrew Rae, which is published by Laurence King.
It’s a 40-page illustrated book that follows the principle of Where’s Wally – with Wally replaced by Warhol.
Andy travels through time, taking in 12 iconic moments through art history – from Michelangelo at work on the Sistine Chapel, to Jean-Michel Basquait painting the streets of New York, via the French Impressionists and the Bauhaus.
Your challenge? Find Andy in amongst the scene and the crowd.
Each scene has been recreated from careful archival research by art historian Catherine Ingram, with the illustrations courtesy of Andrew Rae. Oh yes, while you’re hunting, do look out for plenty of other historical characters and features from each period too.
Fun and a nice introduction to art and history for kids. Entertainment for adults too. The book is published in April but you can pre-order now. it sells for £9.95.
