We have featured the official reissue of this midcentury classic in the past. If that was a little too pricey for you, then you might want to check out the Eames-style Elephant Seat at Great Little Rooms.
It’s a design in the spirit of the original 1945 Charles and Ray Eames piece and unless you look closely, you might struggle to tell the difference. We’re guessing your kids and their friends aren’t connoisseurs of the style, so you’ll probably get away with it.
This version has the same purpose as the original (part seat, part plaything) and is made of injection moulded polypropylene, which should make it more robust than the original plywood build.
Five colours to choose from, all selling for £69.50 each.
