A steady stream of Mr Men books is constantly hitting the shelves (we counted around 10 before the year is out), but falling under the radar are three reissues from Mr Men creator Roger Hargreaves, which date back to the 1980s.

The books have the trademark style, but don’t feature the Mr Men. These books are Grandfather Clock, Albert the Alphabetical Elephant and Count Worm and all are learning books that actually date from the the year 1980. Grandfather Clock is, as you might have guessed, a learning book about clocks and time with a Mr Men-like character, Albert the Elephant takes you through the alphabet, showing his new friend that letters can be fun and Count Worm helps your child learn about numbers with ‘some fun and flexible worms’.

All the books are hardcovers and all are re-released in August. You can pore-order now, priced at £11.99 each.
