We will get the bad news out of the way first – you can’t (yet) buy these Lego hipster minifigures. But we’re still sitting in hope.
The figures were apparently created at the request of The Guardian newspaper to mark the start of Copenhagen fashion week.
According to design manager Tara Wike: ‘Danes do monochrome in a big way so the Lego hipster girls keep it simple in black and grey, topped off by the ubiquitous black designer glasses.
‘For the men, we teamed a blazer with a button-down shirt and mismatched suit trousers as well as a classic leather jacket with a striped T-shirt underneath. And of course, facial hair. Beards are big for Danish hipsters – the bigger the better’.
They look amazing and let’s be honest, these would be a universal smash with both adults and kids if they ever went into production. No word on that possibility, but as we said earlier, we live in hope.
