Yes, Roobarb & Custard is back, but only as the Roobarb & Custard: When Custard was Grounded interactive book for iPhone and iPad.

We would say iPad is perhaps better than iPhone when it comes to an interactive book, but the iPhone version might be more portable. The apps is the same though, described as an ‘adapted from TV appbook’ and featuring 24 interactive pages.

Plot? Well…

Roobarb is planning a magnificent model aeroplane race and invites all his friends to join in. Mole, Rabbit and Rookie all line up with their planes to compete, but Custard has made his own sneaky plans with the dodgy Bovver Birds to get his paws on the prize, a scrumptious golden sponge cake.

It is narrated by Tamsin Greig and features new animations, interactions on every page, record-your-own audio feature and includes original music from the hit TV show and sound bites from Richard Briers, the original voice behind the animation.

£2.49 is the price if your kids (or you) like the sound of it.
