Keith Haring’s imagery has something of a child-like quality about it, which is perhaps why it has such appeal to kids in products like My First Coloring Book.
It works on a couple of levels. Obviously it is a colouring book, with 32 page of classic Haring imagery to colour in. Works superbly on that level. But it also works as a nice introduction to art too. While they play, they get to understand and interact with some iconic graffiti art too, which has to be a good thing.
The book is a US publication bit available via Culture Label in the UK, selling for £4.43.
