I know a few adults who quite fancy a version with the velcro fastening (just like the ones in the 1980s), but you’ll have to invest in Adidas Stan Smith trainers for kids if you want a pair.
Not that they’ll fit of course, but if you have children, you can at least take some consolation in the fact that they have some of the hippest feet around.
The shoe is a replica of the tennis court classic, first endorsed my Stan Smith way back in 1971 and a top seller for Adidas over the subsequent decades. It disappeared for a while, but has returned this year, with versions including both the infants (4K to 9.5K sizes) and the kids (10K to 2.5).
Both have the velcro fastening, align with the perforations on the side, the usual contrast branding and tennis court sole. A pair is priced from £32.
