If you like the idea of your little one having a career as an architect one day, you can give him or her a great start with these architectural building block toys by Mitoi.
The Spanish brand is the work of Marc Castelló, a designer of toys for babies and children, but also a lover of architecture. The result is the Mitoi range, which are miniature stackable versions of buildings from Barcelona including Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia, the W Hotel by Ricardo Bofill, Agbar Tower by Jean Nouvel plus Mapfre Tower by Iñigo Ortiz and Enrique Leon, and Hotel Arts by Bruce Graham.
There’s also a Miworld collection, which takes the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Elizabeth Tower in London (aka Big Ben), the Empire State Building in New York and an Asian pagoda.
The toys are constructed from birch wood and painted in green, yellow, red and blue, then finished with a varnish to cope with the inevitable hard wear.
You can buy the initial Miciti range online for €29, with the Miworld set to follow soon, presumably at the same price. All details at the Mitoi website.
