If you are going to invest in a colouring book this Christmas, get a cool one – like The Sneaker Colouring Book by Daniel Jarosch and Henrik Klingel.
Published by Laurence King, it’s the kind of colouring book that’s likely to appeal to parents as much as children. In fact, don’t be surprised to see dad sneaking off with it on Boxing day.
The book is essentially a collection of 100 black and white line drawings of popular sneaker/trainer designs, all of which are ready to be coloured in, customised or altered. All the big names are here – Adidas, Converse, New Balance, Nike, Onitsuka Tiger, Puma, Reebok and Vans for example – with designs dating from 1916 to the present day.
All have details of brand, model name and launch date, turning your child into an expect overnight, which will certainly come in handy in later life.
