Kids room: Robin Day-designed Childsply chair reissued

Kids room: Robin Day-designed Childsply chair reissuedNice play on words and a nice design. The Robin Day-designed Childsply chair has been reissued.

It’s an interesting one too. The chair dates back to 1999 and was originally part of a charitable exhibition, one that asked leading designers to create furniture using a single sheet of plywood. Robin Day created this.

Fast forward to 2017 and the hip chair is back. Manufactured in the UK using CNC-cut birch-faced FSC plywood and hand-finished in water-based clear lacquer, the chair features a red-lacquered seat and a blue ‘eye’ detail that ‘honour’ the original colourway created by Robin Day.

Probably one for collectors as well as kids’ rooms too. You can get one online for £180.
