We’re not sure if these will appeal to kids or adults more. But the Eames House Alphabet Blocks are actually designed for kids. They’re possibly the coolest building blocks you can buy too.
There are 36 alphabet blocks in total, which, when put together will create the midcentury icon Eames House (Case Study No. 8) as well as the accompanying studio, both constructed by Charles and Ray Eames. But that’s only half the story, as each of these blocks is a work of art in itself.
Each is made of Michigan-grown basswood, with each handmade and hand painted. Of course, each block is printed with non-toxic, lead-free, child-safe inks, so safe for play.
When your child tires of playing with them, you can always put them on display yourself – they would look amazing on a shelf or display unit. You’ll want to preserve them too, with a set retailing for $150.
